Real Stories. Real Leaders. Real Change!

The WOMEN IN SECURITY Documentary Accelerates Into 2026

What began as a mission to elevate women working throughout the security profession has evolved into one of the most dynamic, community-driven documentary releases in the industry. As The WOMEN IN SECURITY Documentary (TWISD) enters 2026, its impact continues to grow, powered by committed partners, passionate audiences, visionary sponsors, and an expanding global tour.

With recent successes in Dallas, Calgary, and Charlotte, growing excitement for Columbus, major announcements planned for February and March, and more than a dozen screenings scheduled in March alone, TWISD is now entering its most ambitious chapter yet.

Just as importantly, the production team has completed the final edit of the full-length documentary, meaning that all upcoming screenings will feature the definitive version of the film. This milestone represents the culmination of years of collaboration, storytelling, and refinement, ensuring that audiences experience TWISD exactly as intended.

Momentum Builds With Recent Screenings

The past several months have marked a defining period in TWISD’s national and international rollout, demonstrating how deeply the film resonates when supported by strong local leadership and committed partners.

Dallas: A Sentra-Led Model of Corporate Leadership and Community Impact

The Dallas screening stands as a benchmark for how corporate leadership and community partnership can work hand in hand.

Led by Sentra, whose commitment and vision anchored the event, the evening brought together corporate security executives, practitioners, students, and advocates in a setting designed to foster genuine connection and dialogue. Sentra’s leadership, alongside the support of Amazon Worldwide Operations Security, Sysdig, Pinkerton, ASIS International, and regional chapter leaders, ensured that the screening reflected both professional excellence and personal engagement.

The event demonstrated how sponsors can move beyond logo placement to become true partners in advancing representation and leadership development. Post-screening discussions centered on mentorship pipelines, executive visibility, and how organizations can actively support women across every level of the profession.

Dallas was not simply well attended.

It was thoughtfully led.

And it set a standard for future sponsor-driven screenings.

Calgary: TWISD’s First International Milestone

The Calgary screening marked a historic moment as TWISD’s first international event.

Co-hosted by the ASIS Calgary Chapter and the local WiCyS chapter, and supported by dedicated regional leaders including Lindsay Nicholson and Matt, the event demonstrated the film’s ability to resonate across borders and cultures.

Special recognition goes to Aarti Gadhia and Karen Nemani, whose leadership and advocacy have shaped the film’s international reach from its earliest stages. Their presence embodied the collaborative spirit at the heart of TWISD.

The Calgary audience engaged deeply with the film, participating in extended discussions around workforce development, leadership pathways, and cross-border collaboration.

Calgary confirmed that TWISD is not a regional story.

It is a global one.

Charlotte: Community, Leadership, and Lasting Impact

The Charlotte screening at The Mint Museum became one of the most emotionally resonant and community-driven events of the tour.

This success was driven by the tireless efforts of Paige Wanless, Jennifer, Kara, and the local ASIS and WiCyS leadership teams, whose dedication transformed the screening into a regional gathering point.

Special thanks are due to Tia (Yatia) Hopkins, whose leadership helped bring TWISD to Charlotte and whose continued advocacy reflects the trust between the film and the women whose stories it shares.

Local sponsors and venue partners ensured a professional, welcoming environment that encouraged connection and dialogue.

Audience members remained long after the screening, engaging in conversations about allyship, career development, and community responsibility.

Charlotte did not simply host TWISD.

It embraced it.

Across Dallas, Calgary, and Charlotte, one pattern remained consistent:

Audiences did not simply attend.

They participated.

They connected.

They became ambassadors.

Voices From the Community

TWISD’s impact is reflected in the thoughtful responses of leaders, practitioners, and emerging professionals.

Laura Requena, PhD, described the film as “truly inspiring,” highlighting its affirmation of purpose and the strategic importance of diversity.

Nia F. Luckey called the Charlotte premiere “more than a screening,” praising its emphasis on representation and community.

Tiffany Trees described the experience as having “a profound impact,” while Saradha Kannan called it “energizing and truly inspirational.”

Tia M. Eskandari reflected on the collective strength created when women share their stories and support one another.

Kyah Starks described gaining insight from “some of the most highly decorated female security professionals,” emphasizing the film’s mentorship value.

These voices confirm that TWISD is being applied, not simply applauded.

Industry Recognition and Growing Credibility

TWISD’s expansion has been reinforced through major international recognition:

  • Best Documentary, New York Film Awards

  • Best Editing, New York Film Awards

  • Best Documentary Feature, Oniros Film Awards

  • Honorable Mention, Best Producer, Oniros Film Awards

  • Best Documentary Feature, ICE Movie Awards

  • Jury Award Nominee, Spotlight Documentary Awards

Winning Best Documentary Feature at the ICE Movie Awards represents a major milestone, placing TWISD among the most respected documentary projects in its category.

These honors reflect both creative excellence and professional relevance.

Eyes on Columbus and the Next Wave

Attention now turns to Columbus, where local leaders, sponsors, and community partners are building another high-impact event.

Columbus reflects the growing demand for programming that blends storytelling, leadership development, and professional connection.

February and March: Strategic Expansion

February and March will bring major announcements related to partnerships, expanded programming, and new institutional collaborations.

These developments are designed to extend TWISD’s reach into corporate, academic, and international environments.

March: An Unprecedented Release Schedule

With more than a dozen screenings scheduled, March represents the most intensive release period in the project’s history.

All upcoming events will feature the newly completed final cut of the documentary.

This level of activity places TWISD among the most active documentary tours operating in any professional sector today.

Powered by Partnership

TWISD’s growth is driven by a collaborative ecosystem that includes:

  • ASIS International chapters

  • Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS)

  • Corporate sponsors and technology leaders

  • Universities and professional associations

  • Local organizing committees and volunteers

This shared-ownership model has enabled sustained, scalable growth.

More Than a Documentary

At its core, TWISD is about infrastructure, visibility, and continuity.

It documents leadership.

It builds community.

It creates pathways.

It preserves legacy.

It drives change.

Through its screenings and partnerships, TWISD has become:

• A leadership platform

• A mentorship engine

• A community hub

• A historical record

• A catalyst for systemic progress

Looking Ahead

With strong performances in Dallas, Calgary, and Charlotte, growing momentum in Columbus, major announcements ahead, completion of the final edit, and an unprecedented March schedule, The WOMEN IN SECURITY Documentary enters 2026 with extraordinary momentum.

What began as a film has become a living, evolving initiative that continues to reshape how the security profession recognizes talent, builds community, and prepares for the future.

The next chapter is already underway.

And it promises to be the most impactful yet.
